Our Story

We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can uplift individuals and create a brighter future through the power of reading and writing.

Our journey began with a focus on supporting individuals eager to study and improve their lives. As we continued our work, we discovered many underprivileged people in need of assistance with educational resources and literary support. Recognizing this need, our team expanded, and we spread out across different regions of Somalia to ensure we could reach and help as many individuals as possible.

We now run various programs and initiatives that provide essential resources and guidance, including collective reading sessions, writing competitions, book fairs, and writing training. Through our dedicated efforts, we aim to create a community where everyone has the opportunity to develop their reading and writing skills, empowering them to achieve their full potential.

Our mission at Garaadkobac Book Club is to ensure that everyone in our community receives the support they need, when they need it, regardless of the type of assistance required.

Whether it is through engaging reading sessions, financial assistance for literary projects, educational resources, professional writing training, or simply the assurance that they are part of a supportive community, we are committed to providing timely and effective support to meet each individual’s needs. We strive to create an environment where everyone feels empowered and encouraged to pursue their literary and educational goals.
